listening to [link] when I drew this.
Makes me think of a casual day with happiness and calm and then you hear that one note and realize there's a hidden sorrow.

Well, 1) Yuu is trying to get through the day without thinking of everything that made her sad like the break up and stuff.
2) You've got Nyanko who (now that Yuu is an Exwire) had died over the summer protecting her from another demon while she was asleep. He isn't strong enough yet to be seen by anyone other than ghosts and full demons or humans who can see these weaker ghosts.
3) Nyanko patiently waits and silently suffers in sorrow from not being able to talk to his beloved master. Patiently waiting for a day that he can and for a day he is material enough to truly protect her.
